• 1. 

  The General Secretariat of the Council has been informed by the Greek Government of its decision to nominate Ms Alexandra IOANNIDOU as its member in the category of

  Government Representatives on the CEDEFOP Governing Board, replacing Mr Konstantinos TSOUTSOPLIDIS.

• 2. 

  The General Secretariat of the Council has been informed by the Commission of the designation of the following members :

  • - 

    in the category of representatives of Employees' organisations: = Ms Ruta PORNIECE (LV), replacing Ms. Santa OZOLINA.

  • - 

    in the category of representatives of Employers' organisations: = Mr Andrzej STEPNIKOWSKI (PL), replacing Mr Józef Jacek HORDEJUK

• 3. 

  Under Article 4 of Regulation (EEC) No 337/75 i 1 , as amended by Regulation (EC)

  No 2051/2004 2 , members of the Governing Board, except for the Commission's

  representatives, are appointed by the Council for a period of three years.

• 4. 

  The Permanent Representatives Committee could therefore suggest that the Council:

  • adopt the Decision annexed hereto as an "A" item on its agenda, and

• order its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union for information.

COUNCIL DECISION

of

appointing and replacing members of the Governing Board

of the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 337/75 i of 10 February 1975 establishing the

European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, and in particular Article 4 thereof 1 ,

Having regard to the nomination submitted by the GREEK Government,

Having regard to the nominations submitted to the Council by the Commission in the category of

Employers' representatives,

Whereas:

(1) By its Decision of 14 September 2009 2 , the Council appointed the members of the Governing

Board of the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training for the period from 18 September 2009 to 17 September 2012.

(2) A member's seat on the Governing Board of the Centre in the category of Government representatives has become vacant as a result of the resignation of Mr Konstantinos

TSOUTSOPLIDIS.

(3) A member's seat on the Governing Board of the Centre in the category of Employees' representatives has become vacant as a result of the resignation of Ms Santa OZOLINA (LV).

Centre for the Development of Vocational Training for the remainder of the term of office, which runs until 17 September 2012:
