EP-voorzitter Buzek veroordeelt aanslag Marrakech (en) - Hoofdinhoud

Following the terrorist attack which killed 16 people yesterday in Marrakech, the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek i stated:

"I strongly condemn the terrorist attack which killed local people and tourists yesterday at the Argana Cafe in Djemaa el-Fna square.

Djemaa el-Fna is a place of tolerance where people go to see the beauty and liveliness of the Moroccan culture and tradition. Yesterday it was turned into a place of violence and despair.

I extend my condolences to the families and friends of those who were killed in this vile attack. I wish a speedy and full recovery to the injured."
