Topics on the agenda of the EU heads of state and government:

    Economic Monetary Union and Greece’s debt repayments: main question is “whether German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras can find a compromise or both sides will show a confrontational stance“.

    EU-Russia relations are “at a critical juncture again, but a lot will depend on what will happen during the Minsk summit” on 11 February
