James Holtum welcomes Commission proposals to hinder aggressive tax planning. Whilst it welcomes plans for greater transparency regarding member states’ tax policies, Holtum says the ECR Group fears the Commission’s corporate tax plan proposals (CCTPP) will lead to further harmonisation of taxes across the EU - what he calls the “death-knell for European competitiveness”.
