UNHCR suspends activities on Greek islands - Hoofdinhoud

The UNHCR, the UN refugee agency i, said Tuesday it stopped transporting people to and from all closed centres on Greek islands. It said the decision, following the EU-Turkey plan to register and send back migrants, is "in line with [its] policy on opposing mandatory detention". It continues protection monitoring activities.
