On Wednesday 21 February at 14h30 the ECON Committee will hear experts on the subject of sustainable finance.

Erik Usher, Head of the UNEP Finance Initiative, Emeritus Professor Michel Aglietta of CEPII and Dr. Joshua Ryan-Collins, senior associate of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP), will address the committee. The hearing is taking place in the context of ECON's own-initiative Report on sustainable finance. Earlier this month Christian Thimann, the Chair of the High-Level Working Group on Sustainable Finance (HLEG), has presented the final recommendations of the HLEG.

EP-Commissie Economische en monetaire zaken (ECON)

Deze parlementaire commissie i houdt zich onder meer bezig met het economisch en monetair beleid van de Unie, vrij verkeer van kapitaal, mededinging en belastingen.

De commissie telt 61 leden. De belangrijkste taak van de commissie is het functioneren van de Economische en Monetaire Unie en het Europees monetair en financieel stelsel. Hieronder vallen ook de betrekkingen met relevante financiële instellingen en organisaties.
