PROCEDURE FOR SECURE MEETING ROOM 70.4
Delegations are informed that a part of the upcoming meeting of the GAG+1 - Securing free and fair European elections will be classified SECRET UE/EU SECRET and will be held in room 70.4 in the Justus Lipsius building. Please note that the meeting room 70.4 will not appear on the screens inside the Justus Lipsius. The classified part will start at 15:00, the beginning of the meeting. The meeting will then continue in a normal Council meeting room which will appear on the screens.
A maximum of 2 participants per delegation can attend.
List of participants
Delegations are requested to send the full name and date of birth of their delegates participating in this meeting to the Council Secretariat, by Monday May 20 at 17h00; using the email address free.elections@consilium.europa.eu
Personal Security Clearance
In accordance with the Council Decision on the Security Rules for Protecting EU Classified Information (2013/488/EU), all delegates attending those meetings must be in possession of a valid EU security clearance up to the level SECRET UE/EU SECRET.
No admission will be granted to delegates for whom the Security Office has no record of their clearances or who cannot present a valid Personal Security Clearance Certificate issued by their national authorities.
Only in case a Personal Security Clearance Certificate for the delegate concerned has not yet been transmitted to the Security Office (for example if this is your first Council secure room meeting, or if your clearance has recently been renewed), a copy should be sent to the following email address sent by the colleagues in your ministry who are responsible for security clearances (not from your personal email), also by Monday May 20 at 17h00 security.clearances@,consilium.europa.eu
Electronic equipment
Please note that no electronic equipment (e.g. mobile phones, laptops, tablets) may be brought into the meeting room. Lockers are available outside the room.
