The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is currently drafting an opinion on the "Local and Regional Authorities Shaping the Future Eastern Partnership ".
The rapporteur of the opinion, Mr Tadeuš ANDŽEJEVSKI (LT/ECR), Member of Vilnius District Municipal Council, invites the representatives of local and regional authorities and stakeholders for a policy debate in order to exchange views on the content of the future opinion. As political change is unfolding throughout the region, both the EU and partner countries are reflecting upon the Eastern Partnership policy, its successes and flaws in the past 10 years, and on the next decade of cooperation. In preparation of the next EaP Summit in the first half of 2020, the European Commission and the European External Action Service have launched a consultation on the future of the Eastern Partnership. This opinion will reflect CoR's contribution to the mentioned consultation process.
The consultation will take place on:
30 September 2019 between 15.00 and 17.00
in the Committee of the Regions building

(Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in Polish and English)
After a short introduction, the audience will be invited to exchange views with the rapporteur. Should you have any position papers relevant to the subject, please send them to CIVEX commission secretariat by e-mail using the address below.
