The meeting will discuss how to refocus the European Semester to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the long-term orientation for annual investment and reform priorities. It will then look at how EU cities and regions could be involved as partners in the Semester process.
It will also address lessons learnt and next steps to deliver investments and structural reforms in partnerships across levels of government.
Speakers will include European Commission’s European Semester officers, active in some EU capitals, as well as EU officials, representatives of associations of cities and regions, and think tanks.

Dit orgaan is de spreekbuis voor lokale en regionale overheden binnen de Europese Unie. De Raad van de Europese Unie i en de Europese Commissie i zijn in bepaalde gevallen verplicht advies te vragen aan het Comité van de Regio's (CvdR), voordat zij een besluit kunnen nemen.
