Joint press conference with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and European Council President Charles Michel

European Council President Charles Michel i is on a working visit to Croatia to mark the start of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Together with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković i, he held a joint conference for international and local journalists at 1:30 pm at the premises of the National and University Library.

The President of the European Council and the Prime Minister highlighted the priorities of the Croatian Presidency as key elements of joint cooperation between the EU i Member States in the coming months. The topics most discussed at the conference were related to the imminent adoption of the Multiannual Financial Framework, the exit of the UK from the EU and the Zagreb Summit at the beginning of May this year.

At the conference, the President of the European Council expressed his belief that the Croatian Presidency would be successful.
