“The European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) and its partners are organising the “Patient Safety Policy Summit: Improving Outcomes, Preventing Harm", under the patronage of the Croatian Presidency of the EU and of the European Parliament, which will take place from 3-4 March in Brussels. Patient safety has emerged as a public health topic, aiming to prevent and limit the burden of harm for patients resulting from unsafe care in medical procedures and healthcare-associated risks. The event will bring together medical experts, policymakers, patient organisations and industry representatives to discuss how to ensure optimal outcomes in perioperative care, no matter where patients seek treatment in the EU".
