The European Committee of the Regions postpones March plenary session to contribute to preventing and controlling the Coronavirus pandemic​​.​

​​

The members of the European Committee of the Regions will meet in the 139th plenary session on 25 and 26 March 2020.

Debates that will take place during the plenary session:

• - 

  a debate on The Multiannual Financial Framework, debate with the European Parliament's negotiating team
• - 

  a debate on Cohesion Policy, with Elisa Ferreira, Commissioner in charge of Cohesion and Reforms
• - 

  a debate on European Commission's work programme and priorities with focus on the interintitutional relations and future cooperation​, with Maroš Šefčovičic, Vice-prisent of the European Commission in charge of Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight

Five opinions will be on the agenda of the plenary

  Opinion on "Demographic change: proposals on measuring and tackling its negative effects in the EU regions" by Rapporteur Ádám KARÁCSONY (HU/EPP)

  Opinion on "The services package: An updated view from Europe's local and regional authorities" by Rapporteur Jean-Luc VANRAES (BE/renew E.)​

  Opinion on "Just Transition Fund​" by Rapporteur Vojko OBERSNEL (HR/PES)
• - 

  Opinion on "Budgetary Instrument for Convergence and Competitiveness (BICC)" by Rapporteur Christophe ROUILLON (FR/PES)
