EU-Ministers responsible for Telecommunications and Digital Policy discuss European Data Goverance on Monday

On 7 December 2020, EU ministers responsible for telecommunications and digital policy will meet for a videoconference under the auspices of the German Presidency of the Council of the EU. Federal Minister Peter Altmaier will chair the meeting.

EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton i will also participate in the event.

One focus of the conference will be a discussion on the proposal for a regulation on European data governance (Data Governance Act) presented by the European Commission on 25 November. Another important topic will be a joint declaration on the establishment of a European initiative in the field of microprocessors and semiconductor technologies. The conference will also provide information on the current status of the negotiations on current legislative proposals.
