Peace, Security and Development in the Horn of Africa (ALDEPAC 2011), Djibouti - Hoofdinhoud

The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, Pacific, Africa and Caribbean (ALDEPAC) will hold their annual conference in Djibouti on 5-7 February 2011. The theme this year will be "Peace, Security and Development in the Horn of Africa". The referendum in South Sudan and the situation in Ivory Coast will also be discussed.

Among the participants will be ALDE leader, Guy Verhofstadt, Louis Michel MEP, Graham Watson MEP and the President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh.

A press conference is scheduled for Monday 7 February at 14.00 in the Kempinski Palace Hotel in Djibouti.

ALDEPAC or the ALDE Caucus within ACP was formed in order to launch a formal network to strengthen liberal democratic values and to promote dialogue and European and African members of the liberal-democratic network.
