Deze expertgroep [EU] i (nr. E03496) adviseert de Europese Commissie (Directoraat-generaal Vervoer (MOVE) i) bij het opstellen van nieuwe wetgeving en nieuw beleid. Expertgroepen zijn samengesteld uit deskundigen van nationale overheden, vertegenwoordigers van belangenorganisaties en/of experts uit het bedrijfsleven.

Mission: Help the Commission prepare legislative proposals and policy initiatives; give advice and provide input to the Commission during preparation of the delegated acts foreseen in the Directive (EU) 2016/1629; support the Commission in the general implementation and follow-up the technical requirements for inland waterway vessels (including acts indirectly linked with the Technical Requirements Directive such as those on the Non Road Mobile Machinery Regulation); support the Commission with regard to the operation and development of the European Hull Data Base (art 19. 7 of the Directive (EU) 2016/1629).
Task: Assist the Commission in relation to the implementation of existing Union legislation, programmes and policies

Activity report: The main activities of the group are to contribute to the developing and updating technical requirements for inland navigation vessels. The main aim is to give advice and provide input to the Commission during preparation of the delegated acts foreseen in the Directive 2016/1629.

Selection procedure: The members of the group are the Member States concerned by Directive 1629/2016. It is for the authority of each of Member State to decide on who will represent them. Other public entities: national authorities from Switzerland; Organizations that represent the inland navigation professions and other International Bodies will appoint their representatives (inland navigation experts); organisations from the Inland Navigation sector will be appointed following an open call for expression of interest now in preparation. The deadline is 7 April 2017. Once the selection procedure is completed, members will be published in the Register.
