On 17-18 October 2017 eu-LISA will host a high-level conference ‘Going Digital for a Safe and Secure Europe’ at the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel, supported by the incoming Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
A safe and secure Europe is a priority for both the Estonian Presidency and eu-LISA, the European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice. The joint conference will provide an opportunity to focus on IT solutions that help to ensure Europe’s internal security.
Discussions will touch upon the digital transformation of law enforcement, border and asylum authorities, interoperability of IT systems and the use of mobile technologies to deliver security. Some 180 participants from national and international authorities, EU institutions and agencies as well as academia and industry are expected to attend.
Dit agentschap i heeft als taak het bieden van een levensvatbare lange termijnoplossing voor het operationeel management van grootschalige IT-systemen op het gebied van binnenlandse zaken. Het agentschap is een onafhankelijke Europese instelling. Het is in december 2012 met zijn werk begonnen. Het hoofdkantoor bevindt zich in Tallinn, Estland. Het operationele centrum is in Straatsburg, Frankrijk.
