Conference in Rome on 18 and 19 November with the EU Energy Ministers

Strengthening cooperation among euro-mediterranean partners in order to deal with emerging energy challenges and concerns for energy security is the goal of the EU and mediterranean countries energy ministers as well as of the representatives of the financial institutions, of the associations of regulators and transmission system operators and of industry, who will gather in Rome at the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters on 18 and 19 November for the conference “Building a Euro-Mediterranean energy bridge”, organized by the Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU and the European Commission.
The first day will start with a speech by Economic Development Minister Federica Guidi and will continue, in the afternoon, with a round table chaired byVice-minister Claudio De Vincenti.
A press conference is scheduled at around 6:00 P.M.

Van 1 juli tot en met 31 december 2014 vervulde Italië voor de twaalfde keer in haar geschiedenis het voorzitterschap i van de Raad van de Europese Unie i. Italië nam het stokje over van Griekenland i. Italië werkte nauw samen in een trojka i met Letland en Luxemburg.
Letland i heeft op 1 januari 2015 het stokje overgenomen.
