​The members of the European Committee of the Regions will meet in the 118th plenary session.

Seven opinions and two Resolutions will be on the agenda of this plenary session.

On the first day, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Commissioner in charge of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs together with Paul Magnette, Minister-President of the Walloon Regions, and Edouard Martin, MEP, will take the floor in the context of the CoR Opinion on the EU's steel sector. Jan Olbrycht, Member of the European Parliament, will intervene on the topic of the multiannual financial framework 2014/2020. Finally, Vytenis Andriukaitis, Commissioner in charge of Health and Food Safety will exchange views will the members.

On the second day, the plenary assembly will host Mari Kiviniemi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), who will intervene on the topic "Current and future challenges for European regions and cities".

  • Resolution on the Contribution of the European Committee of the Regions to the European Commission's Work Programme 2017
  • Resolution on the Draft Annual EU budget for 2017
