The purpose of the workshop is to give Members the chance to explore in detail the legal and economic impacts of Brexit on the EU27 energy systems. The workshop will give a general overview of the potential impacts of Brexit, consider the future EU energy policy and electricity/gas partnership with the UK after Brexit, as well as describe the effects of Brexit on Ireland and outline the potential impact of the UK's withdrawal from Euratom.
The workshop is organised by Policy Department for Economic, Scientific and Quality of Life Policies at the request of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE).
The workshop will be held on 16 May 2018 from 14.30 - 16.00.

Deze parlementaire commissie i houdt zich onder meer bezig met het beleid betreffende industrie, onderzoek, energie en informatietechnologie.
De commissie telt 78 leden. De belangrijkste taak van de commissie bestaat uit het voeren van het industrie-, onderzoeks- en ruimtebeleid. De commissie buigt zich in het kader hiervan over de de toepassing van nieuwe technologieën en de verspreiding en benutting van onderzoeksresultaten.
