The Social Situation Monitor (SSM) team welcomes researchers, analysts and policy-makers to discuss the latest empirical research on changing value chains.

This SSM research seminar will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Brussels, on Tuesday 17 December 2019 (14:00-18:00).

Focus of the seminar: Changing value chains and their impact on employment

Digital technologies and transition to carbon-neutral society are expected to have a profound impact on value chains, including on employment, working conditions and the size/width of these value chains. However, there is still little research on the significance of this phenomenon.

The aim of our next seminar will be to present the latest research on these trends, and discuss their implications for the EU.

The SSM seminar series
