On 11 December, the EU’s Special Representative for Human Rights, Eamon Gilmore will visit FRA.
During a full day at the agency, he will exchange with FRA experts on the full range of issues.
The Special Representative’s role is to boost the effectiveness and visibility of EU’s human rights policy externally to the EU, including chairing some of EU’s human rights dialogues with countries and regions.
While in Vienna, he will also participate in an event to commemorate the international human rights day alongside FRA’s Director, on 10 December.
Dit agentschap i verleent de instellingen van de Europese Unie i en de lidstaten i bijstand en expertise op het gebied van de grondrechten. Dit moet hen helpen om bij hun activiteiten de grondrechten volledig te eerbiedigen.
Het agentschap is een voortzetting van het Europees Waarnemingscentrum voor Racisme en Vreemdelingenhaat en is sinds 1 maart 2007 in de huidige vorm operationeel.
