Jennifer Baker is joined by Céline Bayer, Spokesperson for the S&D group, to discuss the European Summit of 14th and 15th of March.
On Wednesday, 20th January, European Commission President Barroso and Herman van Rompuy i will discuss the results of the summit with the European Parliament political group leaders.
During the European Summit, the EU leaders established the economic priorities for 2013. An agreement was reached on the five EU economic policy priorities: differentiated, growth-friendly fiscal consolidation; restoring normal lending to the economy; promoting growth and competitiveness; tackling unemployment; modernising public administration. Among these, the EU leaders also agreed to give priority to supporting youth employment and promoting growth and competitiveness.
