Maltese company mission to Cork, Ireland: 9-10 December 2019 - Hoofdinhoud

A new flight route between Cork, Ireland and Valetta, Malta has opened up opportunities for trade and relationship building between the two Islands.

The Malta Business Bureau (MBB) has selected Cork for a mission to develop new business opportunities for SMEs through collaboration with Cork Innovates and EEN partner Cork Chamber of Commerce.

Practically, the trade mission will enable Maltese businesses to connect with leading cluster organisations and companies on day one of the visit (9th December). Specifically, the MBB is organising the outgoing company mission to Cork, Ireland with companies that are active in target sectors (AI, IoT, ICT, Blockchain and Finserv) to identify and facilitate business partnering and collaboration opportunities in these areas.

This two-way promotion of entrepreneurship shall facilitate the bringing together of Maltese and Irish best practice firms and industry changemakers.

Specifically, the trade mission will empower Irish and Maltese companies to:

  Gain valuable market insight and new champions.

  Create a basis for relationships to promote their business in the minds of prospective buyers and partners in the Irish/Maltese markets.

  Meet new companies- avail of opportunities to learn from the experience of peers and new opportunities to support competitive advantage.

  Meet trade mission participants within the group who can introduce and sell the benefits of each other’s businesses.

Travel as a group with a solid agenda in an organised and supportive environment will reduce company costs and risks associated with travelling as an individual company.

With the full support and coordination of the Cork Chamber of Commerce, the second day of the mission (10th December) will be dedicated to a series of tailored business meetings for the members of the Maltese delegation.
